Touch Screen Interaction
The touch screen user interface is similar to a mouse/pointer-based
interface, except that you touch the on-screen objects instead of
pointing and clicking on them. So, procedures in this manual use
phrases such as “touch the
Record
button” instead of “click the
Record
button” when describing interactions with on-screen
objects.
Notes and Tips
Notes contain additional information related to a topic or
procedure. For example:

If the button does not activate, this could mean the touch screen calibration is very
far off. Try touching the area around the button until the button activates.
Tips provide additional insights about a topic or procedure (such as,
why you may want to do something or a faster way to perform an
operation). For example:

Copying an existing user profile to create a new one
Two user profiles are preinstalled on every SmartDrive:
user.admin.txt
(administrator user)
and
user.virtua.txt
(regular user). To create new profiles, you can copy these files, rename
them, and modify the parameters as necessary.
Cautions and Warnings
Cautions alert you to actions or situations that could cause harm to
equipment or data. For example:
